Collection: GGG

GGG (Gadolinium Gallium Garnet) is a magnetic lab gem with a long history. Not only was it popular in the 1970's as a diamond simulant, it was also used as in bubble memory storage for computers (taking advantage of its magnetic properties).

GGG gemstones can often be picked up with a rare earth magnet!

GGG's bright yellow cousin, GAGG:Ce, is used to detect x-rays.
