This is a pixel cut vanadium laser garnet that I cut myself! The stone weighs in at a whopping 87 carats and measures 25.1x19.5mm
I cut this as a special gem at our Open Sauce booth--an extra large stone that resembles a Minecraft emerald. The material is vanadium YAG, a type of ultra vivid green laser garnet grown for use as q switch. It is one of my all-time favorite materials and I think the stone turned out great, like a sprite brought out into the real world.
