Czochralski Ruby Cut Stone "The Red Stone of Aja"

This is a shield shaped lab ruby weighing 16.3 ct and measuring 17 x 14mm.  I cut this one myself in my 'Red Stone of Aja' design.

I've been wanting to cut one of these for years, but my previous design attempts just didn't quite work.  I finally got a version I was happy with and I like how it came out--I also rounded the girdle which I haven't done before.

Note the stone does have a few bubbles and surface imperfections, so even if inserted into a stone mask there is no risk of it actually turning you from an Aztec double-vampire into the ultimate lifeform.
