Special Orange Glow Cerium YAG Facet Rough

This is our custom-grown 'special' cerium YAG with a bright orange-yellow glow (in contrast to the typical greenish-yellow glow of this material).

This was our first attempt at replicating our ultrabright 'super' cerium YAG--this subsequent crystal did not show the same incredibly bright glow as the first crystal, with a merely extremely bright glow.  However while it's not quite as bright its fluorescence has a strong orange tint which gives it a beautiful look, reducing the greenish tones often seen in cerium YAG.

This is an amazing material to facet, with a good hardness of 8.25, excellent optical properties and little to no trouble in cutting or polishing.
